Day 1 : Marrakech → Col Tichka → Aït Benhaddou
Early morning departure from Marrakech in the direction of the Atlas mountains. You will cross the pass of Tichka, culminating in 2 260 meters above sea level, with stops to admire the breathtaking landscapes and visit the berber villages of Agouim and Ighrem. In the end of the day, you will come to Aït Benhaddou, a ksar in the UNESCO world heritage site. You will spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 2 : Ait Benhaddou → Zagora → Oasis El Gettara
After breakfast, you will leave Aït Benhaddou to direct you towards Zagora. By the way, you will be met for a lunch with the locals, an immersive experience in the berber culture. In the afternoon, you will continue on to the Oasis of El Gettara, the starting point of your adventure in the desert. You will be installing your bivouac for the night in the mountains under a starry sky.
Day 3 : Oasis El Gettara → Dunes Labied
In the morning, after breakfast at the camp, you are taking a ride of 2 hours through the desert landscapes. You will have a break for lunch in the shade of an acacia tree. In the afternoon, you will walk for 2 hours to get to the dunes of Labied, where you will be installing your bivouac for the night.
Day 4 : the Dunes of Labied → Dunes of Chegaga → Back to Zagora
After breakfast, you will depart for a 3-hour trek through the desert to reach the dunes of Chegaga. You will have lunch on site and enjoy the afternoon to explore the dunes, go sandboarding, or just admire the vastness of the landscape. At the end of the day, a 4x4 will pick you up to take you back to Zagora, where you will spend the night at the hotel.
Day 5 : Zagora → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
After breakfast, you will leave Zagora to return to Marrakech. By the way, you'll make a stop in Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert ", to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and film studios, famous for having hosted many film shoots. You will have lunch in Ouarzazate before heading back to Marrakech. At your arrival, you will spend the night in a traditional riad.
